OUR  MISSION

Servants of Christ Prison Ministry embraces brothers and sisters in Christ who are incarcerated or seeking spiritual guidance when released from prison.  Our ministry touches their lives with Christian love, presents the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nurtures new believers in faith and discipleship, and facilitates contacts with churches and Christians in the community. The goal of our ministry is  to encourage them to lead spiritual and productive lives while in prison and upon release.

"My name is Minister French Boards.  I was not always serving Christ.  I was incarcerated for 13 years and while serving time. God allowed  Mrs. Sibble Knight, Founder of Servants of Christ Prison Ministry to cross my path. She told me about this man named Jesus Christ and the power in His name. She planted that seed, and I gave my life to Christ. God opened the door for my release in  March 2002.  I joined a bible-based church open on my release to keep my spiritual man fed. Soon after I joined the Servants of Christ Prison Ministry in 2003. God opened the prison doors so that He could use me to build up men for His kingdom. Now, I go into the hospitals ,nursing homes and prisons ministering the healing power. The author and finisher of our faith - Jesus Christ." – Minister French A. Boards ."

Jason Thomas was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas and was reared by his grandparents.  Challenges and tough times weren't stranger to me.  Being raised in poverty, drugs and violence led me down a path to prison where I found the truth in Christ Jesus and turned my life around to be an overcomer, entrepreneur, speaker, counselor, book writer, brand designer and even started my own trucking company. I had to beat the voice that kept him from elevating and overcoming life’s challenges.  – Minister Jason Thomas.

"My name is Marcus A. Peña, I am the son, grandson, nephew, and cousin of Assemblies of God Pastors. I am a 94' graduate of Maranatha Bible Institute of the Assemblies of God. I am a 99' graduate of Texas Tech University. I am a former elected official for the State of Texas and a former inmate of The Texas Department of Criminal Justice. My testimony is a story of the 2nd Chance, the story of redemption that we preach and teach in our churches according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I know what it feels like to be at the top and crash down to the bottom. I left the ministry for a false calling in politics that took me to prison because of sin. I fell because of the “Pride of life (ego)”, “Lust of the flesh (greed)” and “Lust of the eyes (fame)”. I fell and my Savior restored me in prison in which HE returned me back to ministry as a Field Minister/Chapel Pastor in prison. You can say I went through hell, and I came out in His glory. I want to share my story with all those who feel that they are too far and too dirty for God to love and use. BUT we are not too dirty or too far that God cannot restore us to Him. God has given me a second chance.  I was honored to preach about HIS goodness in the prison system, When I was released in 2022 6 months later, I was preaching as a freeman in the same system that held me. I am blessed to also serve as a mentor for TDCJ inmates and parolees. I serve in my home church in prison ministry. When the system said I could never return to a career in the financial world again, GOD opened the door where I was a CFO of a company and now, I am Officer for a national manufacturing company in Houston". - Rev. Marcus A. Pena

Timothy Davis is a man who was saved by God, Grace and Mercy.  After doing 6 years and 11 months in prison due to living a criminal lifestyle, my life took a turn, mentally first then spiritually, the last 19 months before release.  I remember praying one day in a corner next to my bunk and the Spirit of God told me to remove the hatred out of my heart. I knew exactly what hatred the Spirit of Truth was talking about and right then I removed that hatred.  I removed that hatred out of my heart, and I was released from the pain that had me mentally bound.  The next 19 months in prison, I wasn’t just reading the Bible like I was doing, it became my studying the Bible.  The Bible came clear, God had opened my spiritually mind so I can understand the Words of God clearer.  I was released September 2004, full of the Word of God so I thought.  Within two weeks I was back breaking the law and getting high again.   I failed back in my mess so quickly; it caught me off guard.  It was only by the Grace of God I caught my snap before I ended up back in prison.  I picked my Bible back up and got my life on track.  I started reading my Bible everyday while I was studying for my CDL (truck driver license).  I got my license. God opened doors for me and I didn’t look back.  I was blessed beyond measure in my business, and I recognize how truck driving worked out for me.  God placed in my heart to train guys in the field I was in. A guy trained me for free and all he asked was for me to bless someone else and I did.  I trained over 20 guys for free and they are all successful…what a blessing.  God blessed me with a wife that loved God, who loved and cared everything about me, a real helpmate.  She supports me in every way possible.  God is Good.  Having patience with myself and letting God have His perfect work in my life and here I stand living my life with God who is the head of my life.  I encourage all who are reading this, to let go and let God, and all  things that are in God’s will work out according to God’s plan for your life.  Be blessed and know God cares for you. – Bro. Timothy Davis
